Okay if you know how to make a reasonable stickman with shapes and lines, you can make a cartoon character. Take a look at this picture [ center right ], All it is is simple shapes and lines with alot of detail. I too was a beginer and became a sucess, so you should probally become a sucess too. It took a bunch of practice like drawing on my library folder and drawing at home. So just draw shapes, add detail, and color with shading. That's what I did.
